KOI stay
What a quaint inn. This is a small inn but part of a large resort, which you can take advantage of. The inn is clean, beds and pillows are very comfortable. Though there are no elevators, the stairs to the 3 rd floor were not that bad. We look out over our balcony and just steps away was the warm sand and refreshing ocean. We loved hearing the crashing of the waves. Not even the newer rooms are this close. We definitely will stay here again.

Stayed here one night ...
Stayed here one night for business. It was decent enough. Room was clean and basic amenities provided. Room was clean and basic amenities provided. The walls are thin so I could here everything from the luau outside, to the ice machine in the hallway, to neighbors talking in the room next door. The cable connection to my tv was poor so I could not watch anything. I did not bother calling maintenance because I was only staying one night

Good value from this old hotel
The KOI was a stand alone hotel many years ago and is now part of the Royal Lahaina. It's still booked online as a separate hotel but it's not - you check in at the RLH desk and everything is treated as if you are a RLH guest, including access to all amenities and services. The building is old and the room have not been updated since Elvis was singing but they are large, clean and have everything you need in a hotel room and a nice balcony big enough for cocktails. Almost every room has 2 queen beds. Right next to the Castaway Cafe and an easy walk north to Kanapali or south to Whalers Village. This is a hotel for budget minded people who don't care so much about a fancy room but want to be right on the beach in the heart of West Maui
